Mi Casita Management Profile

Ricardo Montaño manages Mi Casita and is the head architect. Born in Cananea, Sonora, Mexico, Ricardo went to primary school in his home town. He advanced his education in Mexicali, Baja California, where he obtained his college degree and graduated from architecture school in 1988. Ricardo joined El Dorado and La Ventana del Mar in 1993. At that time he had 10 years of architectural experience in a wide variety of architectural and construction work. Shortly after arriving here, Ricardo became one of the first architects to utilize straw bale construction. During his tenure with El Dorado Ranch, Mr. Montaño has managed a wide variety of home construction at El Dorado Ranch. He has been extremely pleased to see El Dorado Ranch emerge as the largest solar community in North America, with La Ventana del Mar to follow. He takes pride in the environmental approach utilized in home construction at El Dorado Ranch.
